  • First organizational meeting at Juan "Toti" and Isabel Juan's residence.

  • UPCA was founded, Constitution and by-laws were ratified.
  • First Executive Board and Charter Officers elected; Roger Austria elected as President.

  • $ Contributed $10,000 to the UP Library Collection Development Fund (Check given to visiting UP President Jose Abueva).

  • Dinner-dance fundraiser with UP President Emil Javier.
  • Sponsored cultural-photo exhibit, "Coming to America. Filipinos and the American Dream (1900-1945)".

  • $ Contributed more than P50,000 to the UP Investment Portfolio-Research Endowment fund.

  • Concert and fashion Show featuring Easter Hana and "Tahanang Bahay".

  • $ Silver Anniversary celebration. Gala concert with Raul Sunico. Raised $17,000 donated to UP through FUPFA.

  • Fundraiser for UP Library through the sale of "all occasions" note cards featuring selected artworks from UP artists.

  • UP Rally to rekindle alumni pride, passion, and awareness of the needs of UP.

  • $ Formally created the $25,000 UPCA Professorial Chair in Perpetuity at UP from monies raised from previous years.

  • Concert for Peace by "III of a Kind" (former UP Madrigal Singers) to raise money for the the UP modernization campaign.

  • Concert to honor UPCA past presidents, featuring pianist Adolovni Acosta and "III of a Kind" trio to benefit the College of Music.

  • $ Donated $11,500 to the College of Music.

  • Sponsored a forum celebrating Filipino and Filipino-American writers, "Filipinos in the Diaspora: Beyond Identity and Nostalgia", in collaboration with the Philippine Consulate General of Chicago, DePaul University's Asian Cultural Exchange, and Philippine Expressions Bookshop.

  • Presented a symposium "What Is Going on In Mindanao?" in collaboration with the Philippine Department of Tourism and DePaul's Asian Cultural Exchange.

  • Coordinated a dialogue between Director Jack Lavin and managers of the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity and the Filipino-American business community.

  • Hosted "Let's Konek" dinner-dance to benefit the College of Social Science and Philosophy(CSSP).
