Had the same system installed June 2023. Went the gas route with a Paloma gas geyser and a high end full gas stove and oven. We now use 2kwh per day. Pool pump runs from 10:00 to 14:00 from the sun. I can control the pump via a smart timer. Did notice during the summer that the chest freezer and fridge runs more cool down cycles and stays on for longer, using way more power than winter. Will be installing another battery soon as we also now need to get a backup water system.
The fact that we don’t have load shedding have severely changed the mental state of out family. Definitely worth it.

Bought a 2nd hand 5 kW Kodak inverter, still saving for the panels and the battery.
Heard exactly the same, that’s very important to set up the inverter properly, and that many electricians are simply not experienced, or up to the task.
